Ideas to get your team off to the right start

If your team doesn't communicate well, what's the worst that could happen?

A team at NASA discovered an answer they would prefer never to have found when the Mars Climate Orbiter crashed into the planet upon arrival in 1999. That mistake cost millions. Your team might not face the same criticality of consequences, but you do want to strive for success, right? Get a head start with a few pointers on "Team Communication Strategies" at The Nest, HERE.

Communication and Success

Why is communication a factor in success in the workplace?

Without communication, you can't get anywhere. If communication is poor, incomplete or just plain wrong, you'll end up somewhere, but not where you're supposed to be.

How to strive for success through communication? Find the answer HERE at The Nest, "Why is Communication a Factor for Success in the Workplace"

Yes, what you wear sends messages to your colleagues!

Welcome!

Welcome to my new blog. This one will focus on life at work, at the "day job." I will share articles I've written for Chron, Nest Woman and other publications. I also hope to write specific blogs about problem solving, root cause analysis and continuous improvement.

Yes. It's about work. But there is always something you can do to make work less...well, work-like. Try a chocolate lunch once in a while! Grab some work-friends and head on down to a nearby restaurant, coney island or diner. Order an obligatory salad, but save room for the real purpose of your visit! That'll be the richest chocolate desert on the menu! My favorite has always been french silk pie.

Come on! Give it a try! You won't regret it!
